I began designing and making my collection of handmade knitted accessories after working in the UK textile industry for many years. I enjoy experimenting with the effect of colour on pattern and pattern on colour. I make all the pieces myself, from start to finish, using natural fibres mainly spun in Yorkshire and Scotland. The patterns and products I create are influenced by the historical and traditional use of pattern to decorate everyday objects and inspired by the natural beauty of the Scottish Borders.
